Read Across America Day

Jack & Eve participated in Read Across America Day on Monday, March 3!

Thing 1, Thing 2 & Thing 3!

Here are my Thing 1, Thing 2 & Thing 3 in their shirts that they made to honor Dr. Seuss earlier this month!

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

I'm a bit late posting this since Dr. Seuss's birthday was much earlier this month but I wanted to be sure to post these pictures before March was over...and I just made it!  To celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday and Read Across America Day we made these Thing 1, Thing 2 and Thing 3 shirts from characters in The Cat in the Hat.  Here are some pictures of Grace, Jack and Eve painting their shirts...

...and you can't celebrate Dr. Seuss's special day without having some green eggs and ham (spinach & eggs)!

Race 2 The Point 5K Run

Today we participated in the Race 2 the Point 5 K run/walk.  This was our second year participating and we all had so much fun.  All proceeds from this race go directly to Scarborough school's PTA.  We were so fortunate to have spring-like weather today too!  Here are a few pictures of our team that we took just before we left for the big race...

Sweet Eve

Here is a picture of my sweet Evey girl sleeping in her bed last night.  She was so frightened by the sound of wind blowing outside from the hurricane-like storm that she fell asleep wearing these noise blocking headphones.  We also surrounded Eve's bed with layers of blankets and pillows to further reduce the sound of the wind.  Fortunately, the strong winds subsided this morning so Eve can once again sleep peacefully and have the sweetest dreams.

Grace at Middlebury College

While Grace and I were in Middlebury over the weekend we walked around Middlebury College together on Saturday afternoon.  Ever since she was teeny tiny Grace has always loved Middlebury and she told me as we were walking around the campus that her dream is to attend Middlebury after she graduates from high school.

Grace walked to the Davis Family library to do her math homework.  She looks just like a college girl here.

Here is Grace just outside of the library.

Here is Grace standing outside of the Arts building. She loved this LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana.

This is the Arts building.  Grace and I enjoyed walking around the Middlebury College Museum of Art.

Here is Grace studying a painting inspired by Dr. Seuss.

Grace & Maddy

Maddy introduced Grace to the game of Scrabble this weekend and it has quickly become Grace's favorite new game.  Grace was amazed that this was the very same Scrabble board I had when I was a little girl.

Got Gracie, Jack & Eve?
